Cadillac announces fourth new electric SUV due in 2026: Vistiq

Magnify / I’m not 100% sure, but it looks a lot like the Vistiq will be a three-row SUV.

Cadillac’s product planners sure like the letter Q. Last year, the American luxury carmaker started production of the Lyriq, quite capable mid-size electric SUV. Last month, it revealed plans for an entry-level electric crossover called the Optiq, which will go on sale next year. And today, it tells us that another new SUV called the Vistiq is due in the 2026 model year.

In terms of size, the Vistiq ranks between the Lyriq and the ginormous Escalade IQ due for the 2025 model year—the brand awareness on that name is too good to be Q-icized outright. While we don’t have any details beyond the model year and name at the moment, there’s a pretty good chance the Vistiq will be an electric counterpart Cadillac XT6.

(Similarly, we don’t have any other details on the Optiq, except that it will share the same smaller crossover architecture as the the upcoming Chevrolet Equinox and will arrive in 2024.)

“Vistiq adds another impressive EV to Cadillac’s lineup, reinforcing our commitment to an electric future,” said John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac. “Our brand now has EV entry in most luxury segments and offers customers a range of options, and the Cadillac EV will cover most luxury SUV segments in critical global markets over the next two years.”

Cadillac says it will announce pricing for the Vistiq sometime next year.
