2023 turned out to be a year of surprising automotive news from around the world. Most of it had to do with new model launches, at least one very aggressive pickup, and some other unexpected automotive events. That brings us to ours question of the day. Maybe you’d like to see automakers innovate in other ways. Solid state batteries seem to be getting closer and closer to actual production. If this happens, it could prove to be a real game changer for both EVs and internal combustion cars. Such batteries could provide much faster charging speeds and much better energy density. This of course brings us to another problem, the charging infrastructure.

The car group agreed come together to build more charging infrastructure in the US, but you might want to see more. It would be beneficial to add seats so you can do more than just sit in line and wait to charge, or stand and sit in the car while charging. That’s the thinking behind things like Tesla’s new restaurant and Mercedes lounges.

Of course, it might just be the new cars you’re most excited about. Whatever it is, let us know in the comments below and be sure to vote for your favorites!
